Ingredients:

  • 500 grams ground beef or lamb
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 egg
  • 50 grams breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the mixture:

    • In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, oregano, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper.
    • Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
  2. Shape the meatballs:

    • Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into small, round balls or slightly flattened patties.
  3. Cook the meatballs:

    • Heat some olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
    • Fry the meatballs in batches, turning them occasionally, until they are browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Serve:

    • Serve the Qofte hot, with a side of yogurt, salad, or bread. They can also be enjoyed as part of a meze platter.
