Ingredients:
1 liter of water
300 grams of corn
1 teaspoon of salt
200 grams of cheese (Telemea, bellows cheese or cottage cheese)
150 grams of cream
Optional: 50 grams of butter
Method of preparation:
Boil water: Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add the salt and wait for it to start boiling.
Add the sorghum: When the water is boiling, add the sorghum in a drizzle, stirring continuously with a whisk or wooden spoon to avoid lumps.
Cook the polenta: Continue to stir for about 15-20 minutes, until the polenta thickens and the oil is well cooked.
Add the cheese: After the polenta is ready, add the shredded cheese and mix well.
Serve with cream: Place the polenta on plates and add the cream on top. If you want, you can also add butter for a richer taste.
Serving suggestions:
You can serve polenta with poached eggs or fried sausages for extra flavor.
You can also add fresh chopped parsley for added freshness.
